My Family

So this is my family. I had my dear friend Angie (simplicity photography) take my family photos. We decided to do this together and I would get some of her family and some of mine I don't think it worked as we had planned next time needs to be seperate. I do think we got some good ones. Thanks family and Angie for being such good sports about it. I can't wait to order the Christmas cards.

Calling all Seniors


I am looking for a few models/Seniors for my High School Reps. I have had many people tell they want something different so here I am.
The location: Utah County high schools.
I would like to do it in an Urban setting (ie: an abandoned house or in the old parts of town or maybe a large field). We could look forward to this sometime at the end of March or April depending on the weather. You will recieve a free session with Photography By Jess and a 11x14 of your choosing. If you are interested or know someone who is a willing participant email me.

My Baby


So, I gave myself a little challenge yesterday and shot @ 2:00 in the afternoon and little "I" was in the sun and the background was in the shade. I'm happy with the results. Angie...do you like the location!
I think I am going to enlarge the first one to hang in my remodeled home soon (in the works right now). I love that he has the little motorcylce in his hand. He carries that thing everywhere and he also sleeps with it.

Urban "E"

So, by the looks of these weeds you would think I was in a big field...well, it's not it's my front yard. Yes, we moved into a fixer upper and I haven't even wanted to weed.

My husband says we are so white trash I'd like to say we are Urban. I had this cute idea of getting some photos that embrace my house but I could only get "E" to sit for 5 minutes and this is what I got.

Just a couple from what I got yesterday. This one makes me laugh.

Well, I'm off to get a party ready for my now 7 year old.

I don't know if I ever posted this one. This is a first try at a sunglare (challenging but fun for the right photo)

For Holly

Yet another family photo in the fall colors. I LOVE fall my most favorite time and this year has been wonderful...we have been able to enjoy it for a time before the snow comes. This photo shoot only lasted 30 minutes I think that's my record. It was a little cold so it was a little short and sweet but I think there is some good stuff.

So, I get in the car and little "C" starts to cry when he looked at me. That's not the kind of reaction I am used to getting as a photographer.

Well.....in my defense I am his nursery leader and he gets to cry for a little bit so that he can get used to staying with me and not mom. He's has warmed up to me quit a bit.

I love how serious little "C" is here. You can tell he hasn't been trained to say cheese yet!

Halloween Baby

Kallie here is a preview of your sweet little "I".

She is turning 1 this year on Halloween. I loved all the outfits and she had the cutest shoes. Her closet would make many of us women jealous at how many pairs she has (I think Kalli said 60). I really wanted to capture some of those cute shoes but she just couldn't sit still......better luck next time. She also had a ton of cute little bows to wear of which Kallie makes and sells them so check out her website buzyizze. They are so cute!

I put these samples on here so that you can choose from the comforts of your home. I know there are a lot to choose from but I couldn't stop halfway thru the alphabet it just didn't feel right!

Sharing some of my niece and nephew. He looks just like my son (the one with the cordory jacket one). I love this one cause it does show that he can be mellow he is pretty similiar to my kids.......never stop moving.

Yes I am jumping for joy.

I finally got some to die for pictures of my 7 year old. I keep asking my friend Angie to do some for me cause for the life of me I cannot get something that I love. Well, I think its cause she is very much like me.....and lets say when we are together we have strong personalities. But I love this girl non the less and she is just beautiful. I think she gets all of her looks from me.

My sister-in-law asked me the other why I don't have a million pictures hanging in my house and my reply was...First of all we are remodeling so I haven't hung anything up yet and second I don't think I have room for them all cause I like my photos to be large and I have a million to choose from.

My favorite is take pictures of kids. I just love to capture them with their own individual personality and of course with their siblings. I am so happy to have found my passion and I have a lot gratitude to be blest with this talent and......best of all I get to persue my Dream!
